Google for Startups and a syndicate of impact investors backed the round to help the firm deploy its conversational AI assistant for frontline workers.
Earlybird AI is an employment support software company based in London that provides voice-powered conversational AI assistants to engage frontline workforces. Its technology helps organisations understand programme participants' support needs and deliver sustained employment assistance.
Earlybird AI has secured £625k in pre-seed funding from backers including Google for Startups, Impact Shakers, Resolution Ventures, and Ada Ventures. The capital will be directed towards enhancing the company's technological capabilities, expanding its engineering team, and growing its customer base.
The London-based startup uses voice technology and conversational artificial intelligence to help employment support organisations assist frontline workers. The fresh funding arrives as the firm targets reaching one million people over the next three years to help them access and sustain meaningful employment.
From the founder
"It's a really exciting time for us. We're absolutely thrilled to have the trust and backing of our investors to solve what is a major crisis – millions of people are not in the workforce or falling out of it entirely. We've seen high employee turnover, in some instances up to 300% and the demand for workers has never been greater. Our technology powers organisations to improve engagement of these individuals by deeply understanding their needs and enabling them to receive better support, resulting in more people accessing and sustaining work,"

Investor perspective
"We are very excited to join Earlybird on their journey. 90% of companies employ frontline workers and yet this is a space that has been overlooked and still has enormous potential to improve the lives of billions of people. As an impact fund, this is exactly the kind of impact potential we look for and we believe that Claudine and Boris are the perfect founders to make this a reality,"
