Dyneval secures £515.8k to accelerate fertility technology development
The funding round includes backing from Lifted Ventures and supports the creation of a high-throughput semen analyser.
Dyneval develops semen analysis technology that measures quality over time to evaluate fertility rates for veterinary and research applications.
Dyneval has secured £515.8k in a new funding round to advance its flagship Dynescan device. The investment includes backing from angel investment connector Lifted Ventures and allows the firm to unlock an additional £85k grant from Scottish Enterprise.
The capital will be used to develop a high-throughput iteration of the Dynescan, which can process four samples simultaneously. Since entering the veterinary sector in 2022, the company has secured 31 customers across 11 countries, ranging from dairy genetics businesses to bovine IVF laboratories.
Trials in the UK and Argentina indicate that semen retaining motility for more than two hours results in significantly higher conception rates. The latest funding will help scale the technology to improve efficiency for customers in agriculture and research.
From the founder
"This funding represents a pivotal moment for Dyneval. By expanding the capabilities of the Dynescan, we’re enabling experts to gain precise insights that improve reproductive outcomes for livestock, with transformative potential for human fertility research."

The Dynescan’s ability to measure semen quality over time in real-world conditions is a game-changer, particularly as it directly correlates with improved conception rates. We are proud to back and support talented female founders like Dr Tiffany Wood, whose vision and leadership are paving the way for innovation in sectors that directly impact global food security and human health. This investment will help scale their innovation and enhance their impact across the agricultural and human health sectors."
