Dublin vehicle sharing service GoCar secures €10m to expand its Irish fleet

Dublin based vehicle sharing provider GoCar has secured €10m in fresh investment to expand its fleet and enhance its services across Ireland. The company plans to deploy 280 new vehicles across 149 locations to meet rising demand in both urban and rural communities.
Alongside the fleet expansion, GoCar intends to introduce a customer loyalty programme later in the year and broaden its range of vehicle options, including compact city models and family SUVs. The firm is working towards operating 1100 vehicles nationwide by the end of 2023.
Paul McNeice, Head of Country at GoCar, noted that the capital supports the company strategy to widen access to sustainable transport options. The business has increasingly pushed beyond its initial urban hubs in recent years with the goal of reaching 24 counties across the Republic of Ireland.
