DRSR secures £12k in crowdfunding to advance its social commerce platform
The NHS midwife turned founder raised the capital through a campaign backed by thousands of supporters.
DRSR operates a social commerce feed that enables everyday users to earn commissions from product recommendations shared in chats and conversations.
DRSR has secured £12k in crowdfunding over a twenty-day period to advance its social commerce platform. The capital follows rapid early traction that drew thousands of supporters and secured approval for SEIS and EIS tax relief from HMRC.
The funds support the ongoing development of the platform, which enables everyday consumers to earn flat commissions on product recommendations. Founder Osi Egole developed the concept while working as an NHS midwife, ultimately launching a minimum viable product and filing for a process patent.
The company plans to expand its presence following initial momentum that included a pitch appearance at Web Summit Qatar and a growing community waitlist.
