Doshi secures £1m in pre-seed funding led by Calm/Storm Ventures to expand financial education platform
Calm/Storm Ventures led the pre-seed financing, which will fund product development and artificial intelligence integration.
Doshi operates a gamified financial education platform designed to improve financial literacy among young adults through interactive learning tools. The firm partners with educational institutions and community banks to deliver engaging money management insights.
Doshi has secured £1m in additional pre-seed funding, bringing its total raised to that figure. The round was led by Calm/Storm Ventures, with participation from several business angels including Hansi Hansman, Alfred Luger, Alex Brix, and Christian Strobl, alongside funds such as Launchub Ventures and APX.
The capital will be directed towards expanding Doshi's gamified learning experiences into financial services and developing artificial intelligence features such as personalised celebrity chatskins and custom missions. The platform currently prepares for multiple pilot launches across the UK, focusing initially on partnerships with community-focused banks.
From the founder
"Our goal is to leverage AI to make learning about money as fun as playing a game which happens to increase knowledge and develop financial skills."
Jaco Koenig
CTO at Doshi
Investor perspective
"Doshi meets young adults where they already are, helps and supports them to take the right (financial) decisions. We are confident that the founders, Daniel and Jaco, may be able to catch the new generation where even Neobanks fail."
