The financing round was led by Love Ventures with participation from fintech advisor John Lunn.
Detected provides modular business onboarding infrastructure designed to help payment companies and marketplace operators manage compliance and risk. The company operates from offices in London and New York.
London compliance infrastructure provider Detected has secured £1.5m in a seed follow on round led by Love Ventures. The capital, raised in just three weeks, builds on previous funding totalling £2m since the firm started in 2020.
Love Ventures backed the round alongside various angel participants, with fintech veteran John Lunn joining in an advisory capacity. The fresh funds arrive as the company scales its platform, which helps businesses verify corporate data and navigate onboarding friction across international markets.
From the founder
"Detected can find any legitimate company in the world instantly. KYB is currently seen as an operational hurdle when it should be an asset, and our technology is steering that shift. Detected gives businesses full visibility of any entity they want to work with, significantly reducing the friction involved in onboarding suppliers. In that way, it can help stimulate business activity, especially when working with clients, suppliers or partners in emerging markets."

Investor perspective
"I’m most impressed by companies which solve highly complex challenges and present their solutions in a simple way. Detected is a category creator, they’ve set the standard for what global KYB means and we couldn’t be more excited to be involved."
