Detected raises £250k in pre-seed funding from angel investors to eliminate B2B commerce fraud.
The pre-seed round was backed by prominent angel investors to support platform development ahead of a December launch.
Detected provides modular business onboarding infrastructure designed to help payment companies and marketplace operators manage compliance and risk. The company operates from offices in London and New York.
RegTech firm Detected has secured £250k in a pre-seed funding round backed by a cohort of angel investors from the founding team network. The fresh capital will be directed towards product development ahead of a planned commercial launch in December.
The company provides an automated verification infrastructure that analyses thousands of data points to confirm corporate identity and solvency. This addresses chronic due diligence bottlenecks in global business trade, replacing manual checks with rapid automated insights.
Participants in the round include senior industry figures such as Rob Barnett, Craig Sears-Black and Carl Hartmann. The founders initially conceived the business after encountering supply chain fraud while sourcing medical equipment during the pandemic.
From the founder
"I am proud of what this group of people have achieved in such a short space of time, and all during a global pandemic. On the day we founded our company, we set our sights on the ambition that Detected would be involved in more than 50% of all B2B transactions by 2024. We have the team, technology and the early investors to continue our momentum towards that goal."
