Desktop Genetics has secured growth funding from Origin Capital alongside a syndicate of other backers. The company provides genome editing software designed to assist researchers with experimental design and execution.
Origin Capital participated in the round as part of its strategy to back emerging companies in the sector. Tim de Vere Green, CEO of Origin, noted that the business has established commercial ties with key industry players despite its recent founding.
