DeliveryApp operates a Manchester-based technology platform designed to streamline logistics and empower drivers. The company focuses on transparency and fair treatment within the delivery sector.

Former professional footballer and television pundit Rio Ferdinand has invested in Manchester-based logistics platform DeliveryApp. Ferdinand joins the business to support brand scaling, drive revenue growth, and provide strategic introductions through his business network.

Founder and chair Lance Jones established the platform to tackle ongoing issues in the logistics sector by combining technology with fair driver treatment and customer transparency. Ferdinand chose to back the company due to its potential and ethical approach to drivers.

Chief executive Dwain McDonald noted that Ferdinand will bring valuable insight into social technology and expertise as the firm targets ambitious growth goals for the coming year.

From the founder

"We are so excited to have Rio join the team as he brings masses of insight into the latest tech, particularly in social. His presence brings an extraordinary level of expertise and experience, particularly in the tech industry. As we aim to double the number of activated drivers and quadruple our revenue in 2024, Rio’s involvement will be instrumental in achieving our ambitious goals."
