Deliveroo raises £452.1m in Series G funding led by Amazon to expand engineering and delivery reach.
The investment round was led by Amazon with participation from T. Rowe Price, Fidelity Management and Research Company, and Greenoaks.
Deliveroo is a global online food delivery service connecting consumers with restaurants and grocery partners. The platform operates across multiple international markets supported by a large network of riders.
Deliveroo has secured £452.1m in a Series G funding round led by Amazon. The capital injection also drew participation from existing backers including T. Rowe Price, Fidelity Management and Research Company, and Greenoaks.
The company intends to deploy the proceeds towards scaling its engineering team at its London headquarters, broadening its geographic delivery footprint, and developing delivery-only kitchen formats alongside personalised customer products.
This latest raise brings Deliveroo's cumulative funding total to $1.5bn. The transaction remains subject to customary regulatory approvals and is expected to close in the coming months.
