The Cambridge based intelligent clothing startup has joined the latest Techstars London accelerator cohort.
Decorte Future Industries is a Cambridge based deep tech startup that develops intelligent clothing capable of biometric monitoring and device control. The firm emerged from stealth to build garments that adapt to the wearer and enable hands free interaction with robotics.
Decorte Future Industries has secured £92k in pre-seed funding from Techstars as part of its 2020 London cohort. The Cambridge based intelligent clothing startup was selected from over 1,100 applicants to join the three month accelerator programme.
The deep tech company is preparing to close its wider pre-seed round, having raised £310k in total, which includes equity-free funding and the Techstars investment. The fresh capital will support the firm as it transitions from an academic research group into a customer focused operation.
Techstars London selected ten companies for its latest batch, offering investment alongside access to a network of mentors and perks. Decorte Future Industries previously secured an Innovate UK grant to deploy its technology in care homes.
