Datum360 secures Series A investment from BGF to accelerate global growth
BGF led a multi million pound minority investment to support the software firm's international expansion.
Datum360 provides an engineering information management software platform that connects disparate systems for blue chip clients across energy, mining, utilities, and infrastructure. The company operates globally with offices in the UK and Australia.
Teesside-headquartered software provider Datum360 has secured a multi million pound Series A investment from BGF to accelerate its international expansion. The funding will support the business as it targets a US office opening in 2021 and addresses growing demand for its cloud-based connected data platform among energy and infrastructure clients.
Founded by industry veterans Steve Wilson, Dave Mitchell, and James Michael, Datum360 delivers digital twin and data management solutions to major enterprises including BP, Total, and BHP. BGF completed the minority shareholding transaction following initial discussions in September, drawing on its local presence in Newcastle to execute the deal quickly.
