Cytix secures £230k pre-seed funding from SFC Capital to scale its cyber security platform
Manchester-based security start-up secures pre-seed investment from SFC Capital to expand its team and develop its platform.
Cytix provides automated cybersecurity testing that integrates with software development cycles to identify vulnerabilities in real time. The Manchester-based firm offers an alternative to annual penetration testing.
Cyber security start-up Cytix has raised £230k in pre-seed funding from SFC Capital to support product development and team expansion. The fresh capital will allow the Manchester-based company to enhance its SaaS platform and bring on board additional technical and marketing talent.
The investment coincides with the firm preparing the latest iteration of its vulnerability management software, which functions through a cluster of dedicated pentesters. Cytix plans to utilise its beta phase to onboard new customers and refine its feature set as it scales operations in the security sector.
From the founder
"Almost every aspect of technology has moved on in recent years, yet security testing hasn’t. We want to change penetration testing from a once-per-year consultancy exercise into a SaaS platform which provides continuous support and reassurance to development teams."
