Crowdcube secures £10m Series C round led by Circle to fund European expansion
Circle led the Series C financing to support the crowdfunding platform's expansion across Europe.
Crowdcube operates an equity crowdfunding platform that connects businesses with retail and institutional investors. The company facilitates capital raising for private enterprises across Europe.
Crowdcube has secured £10m in a Series C funding round led by Circle Internet Financial. The investment includes participation from existing backers Molten Ventures and Balderton Capital.
The capital will support Crowdcube as it expands its operations across Europe, taking advantage of new regulatory frameworks designed to standardise capital raising and retail investment services across the continent.
The firm achieved record growth over the preceding year, with £200m invested across its platform and a growing membership base reaching 1.2 million users. The latest financing marks a significant strategic partnership between Crowdcube and US-based Circle, the operator of SeedInvest.
