Crowdcube has raised £5m in a funding round led by Balderton Capital, which contributed £3.8m alongside participation from the crowd. The company will use the capital to support its expansion in the UK and internationally.
Founded in 2011, Crowdcube provides an investment platform that connects growing companies with everyday investors. The firm intends to double its headcount to 50 employees and open new offices in London and Scotland alongside its Exeter headquarters as part of its growth plans.
