Crêpeaffaire secures over £2m from BGF to accelerate site rollout

BGF has taken a minority stake in the crêperie chain to fund domestic and international expansion.

£2.0M

Crêpeaffaire operates a growing portfolio of company owned sites and international franchises serving sweet and savoury crêpes, waffles, and coffees.

Crêpeaffaire has raised over £2m from BGF to fund its next phase of expansion across domestic and international markets. The company operates a network of company owned sites alongside franchises in the Middle East, offering an all-day menu of crêpes, waffles, and drinks.

The capital will support the company as it rolls out new locations in the UK and abroad. BGF has taken a minority stake in the business as part of the transaction, joining a portfolio of food and beverage brands backed by the investor.

Founded in 2008, the quick service group generated over £5m in revenue during 2017. The latest investment follows the appointment of Andrew Guy as non-executive Chairman earlier in the year to guide the firm's growth plans.

From the founder

"BGF is providing an initial investment but more importantly has come on board as a long-term, non-controlling partnership. We are pleased to be working with them in the next stage of our growth plan."
