Converge secures £16.9m led by ABN AMRO to scale artificial intelligence decarbonisation technology for concrete.
The funding round was led by ABN AMRO Sustainable Impact Fund with backing from a consortium of specialist investors.
Converge provides artificial intelligence software and sensor technology to help the construction industry optimise concrete production and reduce carbon emissions. Its flagship platform, ConcreteDNA, delivers real-time monitoring and predictive mix insights for contractors.
London-based construction technology firm Converge has secured £16.9m in a funding round led by ABN AMRO Sustainable Impact Fund. The raise included participation from new backers Move Energy, Pi Impact and J-Impact, alongside existing investors including Climate Investment, TO Ventures and Force Over Mass Capital. The capital will be deployed to accelerate commercial expansion and develop the company's artificial intelligence platform, ConcreteDNA.
Concrete production remains a major contributor to global carbon dioxide emissions, accounting for approximately 8% of the total. Converge addresses this challenge through generative and predictive artificial intelligence models that allow contractors to simulate performance, optimise mix designs and minimise resource waste. The latest financing will support the company as it scales its operations globally and pursues its net-zero objectives.
Investor perspective
"Converge is driving concrete efficiency, smarter optimization, and lower CO₂ emissions in one of the most traditional and high-impact industries. We’re excited to support Raphael, Gideon, and the team on their growth journey as they scale their impact and accelerate the decarbonization of the built environment."
