£6.2MSeries A

ComplyAdvantage operates a global data technology platform that transforms financial crime detection for regulated businesses. The firm supplies real time risk intelligence and screening tools to help enterprises manage compliance obligations.

ComplyAdvantage has secured £6.2m in a Series A funding round led by Balderton Capital. The capital will support the RegTech firm as it executes its growth strategy and increases market penetration across Europe and North America.

Operating in an increasingly complex regulatory environment, the company offers proprietary risk data and screening tools designed to reduce financial crime. It currently serves around 200 clients globally from its offices in London, Cluj and New York.

The investment follows growing demand for advanced anti-money laundering solutions as traditional compliance methods prove increasingly costly and manual.

Investor perspective

"In compliance, we see lots of entrants with a new workflow, or user-interface tool that is just repackaging the same data. ComplyAdvantage is doing something different, by developing its own proprietary global data set of individuals and companies that pose a threat"
