Cog-Neuro Speech Therapy secures £85k in grant and debt finance from Innovate UK and Development Bank of Wales
The Caerphilly-based health technology firm has raised a funding package from Innovate UK and the Development Bank of Wales.
Caerphilly-based Cog-Neuro Speech Therapy develops mobile applications designed to assist individuals recovering from neurological conditions and communication difficulties.
Cog-Neuro Speech Therapy has secured £85k in grant and debt finance to support its mobile speech therapy application. The funding comprises a £60k grant from Innovate UK alongside a £25k loan from the Development Bank of Wales. The capital will enable the firm to further its digital tools aimed at helping patients with communication difficulties caused by strokes, brain injuries, and progressive neurological disorders.
Established in 2012 by speech therapist Sheiladen Montero Aquino, the company provides software designed to support rehabilitation both independently and alongside traditional NHS treatment. The latest financial package was supported by Business Wales, which assisted the founder in structuring the plan to secure the investment.
