Coffi Lab has secured £1.7m in funding from the Development Bank of Wales to accelerate its expansion across South Wales and South-West England. The transaction was advised by Grant Thornton Corporate Finance.
Established in 2021 by former Coffee#1 founder James Shapland, the dog-welcoming coffee chain currently operates multiple sites, with further openings planned in Bristol and beyond. The fresh capital will support the company's rollout and is projected to create 40 new jobs over the next 12 to 18 months.
Grant Thornton acted as lead financial advisor to the company on the deal, which follows previous investments in the company's central roastery, bakery and kitchen infrastructure.
