Cloudsmith provides a cloud-native platform for managing and securing software packages and dependencies across development environments.
Cloudsmith has secured $72m in a Series C funding round led by TCV, with participation from Insight Partners and existing backers. The Belfast-based company will direct the capital towards accelerating product development and expanding its go-to-market operations.
The financing arrives as organisations grapple with a surge in software components generated by AI coding tools, which has intensified the need for software supply chain security. Cloudsmith provides a control layer designed to give engineering teams visibility and governance over software packages.
Founded in 2016, the company has scaled to serve large global enterprises, including Fortune 500 and Global 2000 businesses, as they replace legacy on-premise artifact management systems with modern cloud infrastructure.
