Clerkenwell Health has secured over £700k in pre-seed funding to support the opening of a commercial facility dedicated to psychedelic assisted therapies in London. Backers in the round include Vine Ventures and Lionheart Ventures, alongside several prominent UK angel investors.
The startup plans to launch its trials in Central London this August, focusing on complex mental health conditions such as PTSD, addiction, and terminal illness support. The company is collaborating with various international biotechnology partners, including Psyence, Mindset, and Mydecine, to evaluate innovative treatment methods.
Founded in 2021, the firm also offers a specialised training programme for therapists working with psychedelic compounds. The latest capital injection will help advance its research infrastructure as it positions the UK at the centre of commercial psychedelic studies.
