Circular 11 has secured £2.4m in a funding round featuring backing from the South West Investment Fund, managed by The FSE Group.
The Dorset-based firm has engineered manufacturing technology designed to process low-quality, difficult-to-recycle plastic waste into durable composite lumber products that serve as sustainable alternatives to traditional timber.
The capital will be deployed to bring the manufacturing technology to market and expand production capacity, supporting the firm's target to recycle roughly 10,000 tonnes of low-grade plastic over the next two years.
Investor perspective
"Circular 11 is addressing a clear challenge in the construction and materials market. The team has developed a compelling approach to turning difficult-to-recycle plastic into useful, long-life products, and this investment will help the business scale its operations and build on early commercial traction."
