Chondrogenix has secured funding from SBRI Healthcare to support the clinical progression of its regenerative cartilage therapy for osteoarthritis. The financing will enable the company to advance its lead asset through the remaining pre-clinical stages towards clinical trials.
Operating as a subsidiary of Mogrify, Chondrogenix applies a proprietary data-driven platform to convert starting cell types into functional chondrocytes. The business intends to apply for further Phase 2 funding of £1m from the same NHS England funded initiative as it seeks to enhance existing treatments.
