Checkout.com has secured a $450m Series C funding round led by Tiger Global Management, valuing the business at $15bn. The raise includes participation from Greenoaks Capital alongside existing backers Insight Partners, DST Global, Coatue Management, Blossom Capital, Endeavor Catalyst, and GIC. The capital will be deployed to strengthen the company balance sheet and pursue strategic opportunities.
The raise follows a period of rapid growth for the firm, which tripled its payment processing volume year over year in 2020. The company also announced the opening of new offices in New York City and Denver to support increasing demand from North American enterprises.
