QVentures led the pre-seed financing to support international expansion and product development.
CareerPaths operates a large global mentoring platform that connects individuals with professionals across competitive industries. The service aims to widen access and improve social mobility in sectors such as finance, technology and consulting.
Career Tech, trading as CareerPaths, has secured £200k in pre-seed funding in a round led by QVentures, with participation from various angels. The capital will be deployed to expand into new sectors and regions while advancing the platform.
The London-based business provides structured one-to-one mentoring designed to help applicants navigate competitive fields including investment banking, private equity and strategy consulting. Several angel investors participating in the round have also taken on advisory roles at the firm.
From the founder
"We are absolutely delighted to have QVentures back us on our mission to help revolutionise how career advice is accessed and to improve social mobility across competitive industries around the world. The backing from QVentures will allow us to expand into new industries, additional geographies and to further develop the product to help accelerate the adoption of this new form of career mentoring."

Investor perspective
"I am delighted to become an investor and board member of CareerPaths. CareerPaths are addressing a huge problem both for companies and applicants that all too often doors are closed to them without preferential access. This is the first company we have seen that directly confronts this global problem in a commercially viable way."
