C-Capture designs chemical processes for carbon dioxide removal and decarbonisation. The company offers a solvent-based technology aimed at industrial emissions sources.

Leeds-based C-Capture has secured up to £10m in funding to commercialise its carbon removal technology. The round was led by Northern Gritstone, with participation from existing backers including bp Ventures, Drax, and Kiko Ventures.

The fresh capital will support the testing of the company's pilot plant at the Drax power station in Yorkshire and fund the delivery of a larger commercial demonstration plant capable of capturing up to 200 tonnes of carbon dioxide per day. The investment follows recent government commitments to support carbon capture clusters across the UK.
