Build A Rocket Boy secures £86.8m Series D funding led by RedBird Capital Partners.
The Edinburgh studio raised £86.8m from RedBird Capital Partners and other investors to launch its flagship gaming platforms.
Build A Rocket Boy is an independent video game developer and entertainment studio that creates immersive gaming platforms and AAA titles. Headquartered in Edinburgh, the company employs hundreds of developers across international offices.
Build A Rocket Boy has secured £86.8m in Series D funding led by RedBird Capital Partners. The capital will support the commercial rollout of its core offerings, including the open world platform EVERYWHERE, the action game MindsEye, and user generation design tools under the ARCADIA banner.
The financing drew participation from both new and returning backers, such as Galaxy Interactive, NetEase Games, Endeavor, Alignment Growth, Woodline Partners, and GTAM Partners. Alongside the transaction, RedBird Capital partner Julia Wittlin will take a seat on the board of directors.
