Blue Skies Space secures follow-on funding from shareholders to advance satellite development.

The investment from backers including SFC Capital will accelerate the manufacturing of the Twinkle satellite ahead of a Series A round.

Blue Skies Space is developing commercial space science satellites to deliver scientific data directly to academic and research users worldwide.

Blue Skies Space has secured follow-on capital from existing shareholders, including SFC Capital, to advance the development of its first commercial science satellite, Twinkle. The fresh funding will be used to accelerate manufacturing work with partners ABB and Airbus ahead of an upcoming Series A round.

The company provides space science data as a service, offering a complementary offering to flagship missions managed by large space agencies. Its inaugural satellite has already gained traction, securing fifteen founding member universities across ten countries.

The latest backing positions the business for its next stage of growth and brings its commercial data delivery model closer to market deployment.
