Blockchain has secured £218.8m in a Series C funding round led by DST Global, Lightspeed Venture Partners, and VY Capital, valuing the firm at a post-money valuation of £3.8bn. The capital injection follows a strategic growth round announced a month prior and comes as the company experiences significant growth in active users.
The freshly secured funds will be deployed to expand the company product offerings, grow its international workforce, and pursue strategic mergers and acquisitions. The financing also follows the recent addition of Jim Messina to the board of directors as the firm prepares for its next phase of global expansion.
