Bimsense raises £750k from NPIF - Mercia Equity Finance to expand its building safety software features.

The Hull-based proptech company secured its third investment from the fund to update its Operance platform for new safety regulations.
Bimsense provides proptech software designed to help property owners navigate complex building safety regulations. Its primary platform supports compliance with the Building Safety Act through structured information modelling.
Hull-based proptech firm Bimsense has secured £750k in fresh capital from NPIF - Mercia Equity Finance. The latest injection, which marks the company's third round from the fund, brings its total backing from the source to over £1.8m.
Operance, the company's core platform, assists building owners in meeting compliance demands introduced by the Building Safety Act following the Grenfell Tower fire. The newly acquired funds will be deployed to integrate additional features into the platform as subsequent phases of the safety regime take effect.
The business experienced a 44% turnover increase over the financial year ending in August and anticipates creating six new jobs. Operance is currently utilised by various municipal authorities and major construction firms.
