Great Hill Partners has backed the mobile workforce platform in a deal valuing the company at £100m.
BigChange provides a mobile workforce management software platform that handles job scheduling, invoicing, and operations for service and transport businesses. The company serves clients across multiple industries ranging from plant hire to social housing.
BigChange has secured over £75m in growth private equity backing from Great Hill Partners, valuing the business at £100m. The transaction allows founder Martin Port and his team to retain a significant minority stake while continuing to manage operations.
Founded in Leeds, BigChange supplies workflow and scheduling tools to field service operators. The fresh capital will be directed towards product development and expanding its international reach, particularly in North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific.
Great Hill Partners joins the business following a period of steady expansion, marked by consistent revenue growth and receipt of the Queen's Award for Enterprise in 2020.
Investor perspective
"Unlike niche players that focus on smaller customers and specific sub-verticals, Martin and his accomplished team have built a flexible, all-in-one platform for field service professionals and operators. BigChange’s technology is differentiated not only by its ability to serve commercial and residential clients of nearly any scale or vertical, but also by its award-winning product development and customer service capabilities."
