Bibee secures a six-figure angel investment from Gabriel Investors to expand its maternity clothing range.
The funding round was led by entrepreneur Sara Davies, with Gillian Hall joining as non-executive chairman.
Bibee designs and supplies stylish maternity and breastfeeding clothing for women, operating online and through boutique outlets.
Maternity clothing brand Bibee has secured a six-figure angel investment from a collective of female entrepreneurs associated with Gabriel Investors to accelerate its commercial growth.
The capital will be used to broaden the company product line into a comprehensive range of maternity wear and to improve its digital platform. Sara Davies, founder of Crafter's Companion, led the funding round by taking the largest shareholding among the angel group.
As part of the transaction, Gillian Hall will join the business as non-executive chairman and shareholder alongside Davies. The investment builds upon the brand presence established since its founding in London by Nicola Norris.
From the founder
"The high street offered very little and online designer collections were beautiful but impractical, given the challenges of breast feeding."

Investor perspective
"Having become a mother fairly recently, I fell in love with Bibee’s dresses the minute I saw them and recognised very quickly that there is definitely a need for this type of range among expecting and new mothers."
