BCB Group has secured £44.5m in a Series A funding round co-led by Foundation Capital and BACKED VC. The raise also saw participation from a broad group of strategic and venture backers, including PayU, Digital Currency Group, Nexo, and several existing investors. The company intends to direct the capital toward expanding its payment and market infrastructure into new regions and pursuing strategic acquisitions.

Operating for nearly five years, BCB Group has processed close to $100bn in payments for major financial institutions in the crypto space. The financing marks the largest Series A round recorded in the United Kingdom blockchain sector to date, bolstering the firm's capacity to deliver integrated banking and liquidity solutions.
