Basecamp Research has secured £45.9m in a Series B funding round led by Singular to expand its biological data collection and strengthen its artificial intelligence capabilities. The round also drew participation from S32, redalpine, André Hoffmann, Feike Sizingbesma, and Paul Polman, alongside returning backers True Ventures and Hummingbird Ventures. The company plans to use the proceeds to scale up data collection and develop a new generation of foundational models for complex biological tasks. This financing follows fifteen commercial bioscience partnerships and brings the company's total funding to date to $85m.
