SoftBank Vision Fund 2 led the Series A round to support domestic expansion and team growth.
Atom Learning provides an adaptive online learning platform designed for primary school children aged 7 to 11. The company develops tools that serve both classroom teachers and parents seeking alternatives to private tuition.
Atom Learning has secured £19m in a Series A funding round led by SoftBank Vision Fund 2. The investment marks the largest Series A round ever recorded for a British educational technology company.
Founded in 2018, the London based platform has expanded to serve over 500 primary schools and 100,000 students across the UK. The company offers two main products, including a free platform for teachers called Atom Prime and a subscription home learning alternative to private tuition called Atom Nucleus.
The newly acquired capital will be deployed to accelerate domestic growth with the aim of reaching every primary school in the UK, double the current headcount of 100 employees, and prepare for an international expansion into the US market.
