Atlas Cloud has secured £2m in a Series A funding round led by Mercia through its Northern Venture Capital Trust Funds. The company will use the capital to develop its pay-as-you-go product range and pursue growth initiatives, including plans to expand its Newcastle headquarters team and increase revenues over the coming years.
Operating since 2010, the managed service provider delivers secure desktop hosting and database solutions to notable clients such as Sage, Experian, Magnox and HS2. This latest injection follows earlier backing from regional funds and private investors, bringing total funds raised to £5.2m.
