Assisterr raises £1.3m pre-seed funding to expand its community-owned artificial intelligence infrastructure

Assisterr builds artificial intelligence infrastructure focused on community ownership and small language models. The Cambridge-based firm operates a network that allows users to collaborate on and monetise domain-specific data.

Assisterr has secured £1.3m in a pre-seed funding round backed by a cohort of Web3 venture funds and angel investors. The capital will be directed towards protocol development, strategic partnerships, and expanding the platform ecosystem.

The Cambridge-based startup develops small language models and community-owned artificial intelligence infrastructure on the Solana blockchain. Since inception, the platform has attracted 150,000 registered users and launched more than 60 specialised models for protocols including Solana and NEAR.

Our platform manages the entire lifecycle of SLM training, enabling features like data provenance tracking, fine-tuning, and the launch of SLM-powered Agents. Web3 component allows data-owners to contribute their data and expertise to domain-specific SLMs and capture the value from such contributions."
