Antiverse secures £7m Series A funding led by Soulmates Ventures to scale its AI antibody discovery platform.

The financing round was led by Soulmates Ventures with backing from several new and existing investors.

Antiverse is a techbio company that uses artificial intelligence and in-house laboratories to design therapeutic antibodies for complex disease targets. Headquartered in Cardiff, the firm develops treatments for conditions involving challenging molecular structures.

Cardiff-based biotech company Antiverse has secured £7m in a Series A funding round led by Soulmates Ventures. The financing includes participation from Innovation Investment Capital, DOMiNO Ventures, and existing backers DBW, Kadmos Capital, and i&i Biotech Fund.

The capital will be directed towards scaling the firm's AI-powered antibody discovery platform for pharmaceutical and foundation partners, expanding its internal drug pipeline, and advancing lead programmes toward in vivo efficacy studies. Antiverse focuses on developing antibodies against difficult molecular targets such as G-protein coupled receptors and ion channels.

The latest injection brings the company's total capital raised to over $20m. Antiverse previously entered into a research agreement with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and maintains partnerships with several major pharmaceutical firms, including Nxera.
