The business intelligence firm secured funding from QBN Capital and the Development Bank of Wales to scale its flagship platform across financial services.
Amplyfi develops machine learning and natural language processing business intelligence solutions. The company operates from offices in Cardiff, London and Santa Fe.
Amplyfi has secured £4.1m in a Series A funding round led by QBN Capital. The investment also drew participation from existing private backers and the Development Bank of Wales, pushing the company total to $10m. The fresh capital will be deployed to support further corporate growth and drive the expansion of the firm's flagship DataVoyant platform within the financial services sector.
Founded in 2015, the business specialises in harvesting unstructured data alongside traditional structured sources to give corporate leaders clearer market signals. QBN Capital noted that the firm's expertise in machine learning and natural language processing helps clients navigate vast information pools. The Development Bank of Wales reiterated its ongoing support for the Welsh enterprise as it draws interest from international investors.
