Alastair Mills and Mike Ing merge DoubleEdge Professional Services, Foehn, and Metaphor IT to form Kerv in a £30m deal backed by LDC
The £30m transaction was backed by private equity house LDC to create a new cloud-first managed services provider.
Kerv is a managed services provider delivering cloud-first and customer-first solutions to mid-market customers.
Alastair Mills and Mike Ing have teamed up with private equity backer LDC to merge DoubleEdge Professional Services, Foehn, and Metaphor IT into a new entity named Kerv. The £30m deal brings together three growing cloud-based managed services providers to form a group with revenues approaching £20m and a team of 100 staff.
The newly formed group plans to drive both organic expansion and further acquisitions with follow-on funding from LDC. The leadership team includes Alastair Mills as Executive Chairman, Mike Ing as Managing Director, and Andrew Marshall as group CFO, alongside the existing management teams of the constituent businesses.
From the founder
"Customers want to buy a wider range of integrated solutions from a trusted partner whilst leveraging the power of cloud technologies. But they will only do so if those providers can continue to deliver excellent customer experience in this rapidly changing market. As we focus on organic growth, supplemented by carefully targeted acquisitions, we will not lose sight of our customer-first strategy."
