£7.0MSeries A

Ai Build provides cloud based software designed to automate additive manufacturing and reduce material waste for industrial clients. The firm helps major manufacturers streamline production across aerospace, automotive, and energy sectors.

Ai Build has secured £7m in a Series A funding round led by IQ Capital. The investment includes participation from Nikon alongside existing backers Superseed, ACT Venture Partners, Atlas Ventures and Seedcamp.

The capital will be used to accelerate the company product roadmap, onboard new customers, and fund international expansion into North America with a new US subsidiary. Engineering teams from Ai Build and Nikon will also collaborate to combine software and hardware expertise in additive manufacturing.

The round builds on increasing demand for automated industrial 3D printing solutions, as manufacturers seek to eliminate human error and improve efficiency across large scale production.

From the founder

"Despite its clear economic and environmental benefits, manufacturers have difficulty implementing additive manufacturing at an industrial scale. This is due to concerns about its reliability and ease of adoption. We believe that automation and smart use of data is the solution to this problem. By partnering with Nikon as a leading technology provider who has a grand vision for the future of manufacturing, and IQ Capital as a deep-tech investor with proven track record of supporting global businesses, we are well positioned to achieve our goal for automating the factories of the future."
