The Series B round was co-led by Insight Partners and Dawn Capital to support platform innovation and hiring.
Ably provides an API-driven platform that handles the engineering complexity of real-time data synchronization for distributed applications. The company powers synchronized digital experiences across millions of devices for global enterprises.
Ably has secured £50.6m in a Series B funding round co-led by Insight Partners and Dawn Capital. Existing backers Triple Point, Digital Horizon, Forward Partners, and MMC also participated in the round. The capital will be deployed to accelerate platform innovation and expand the company footprint in the UK and US markets.
The London-based business provides infrastructure enabling organizations to deliver synchronized real-time experiences for applications, devices, and cloud environments. The fresh funds arrive as the firm scales to meet rising global demand for low-latency digital interactions.
From the founder
"When we launched Ably five years ago, we had a clear vision that realtime interactions would underpin rather than just augment our everyday digital experiences. Today, our most important daily and digital experiences happen in realtime. It’s business critical now, and organizations realize they must keep up and transform to remain relevant,"
