Aavalynx lands £1.5m in pre-seed funding led by Omega Ventures to build dispute forecasting tools
Omega Ventures led the pre-seed round, which will fund product development and team expansion.
Aavalynx provides real-time forecasting tools designed to help organisations manage and eliminate dispute risks.
Legaltech startup Aavalynx has secured £1.5m in pre-seed funding to build real-time risk forecasting tools. The round was led by Omega Ventures, with participation from Two Ravens and several angel investors, including senior law firm partners and a former Amazon executive.
The capital will be directed towards accelerating product development and expanding the team. Founded in 2023 by Hanna Roos and Lauri Hyry, the company offers a system called Sisu to give business leaders visibility over their total financial exposure from ongoing litigation.
The investment arrives as corporate legal departments face rising litigation volumes and mounting costs. Aavalynx aims to shift legal risk management from reactive dispute resolution to proactive financial planning.
From the founder
"Current AI tools largely improve lawyer efficiency, but efficiency is not enough. Good tools make disputes efficient, but great ones make them disappear,"
Hanna Roos
Founder and Chief Executive at Aavalynx
Investor perspective
"There is a lot of noise in the legal AI space, and much of this activity has focused on improving productivity within legal teams. Aavalynx is built around a more impactful premise: that the primary challenge for large organisations is not efficiency alone, but the ability to understand and manage disputes as a financial risk. As the legal AI market matures, the winners will be the solutions that can demonstrate clear commercial impact,"
