Share allotment filed at Companies House
An analytics platform for debt capital markets that centralises data, analytics and intelligent workflows. It serves more than 300 institutional clients globally.
London and New York based analytics provider 9fin has secured £18.8m in Series A funding led by Spark Capital. The round included participation from existing backers Redalpine, AI Seed, Seedcamp, 500 Startups, and Ilavska Vuillermoz Capital, alongside early investor Fly Ventures and various high net worth individuals.
The fresh capital will be directed towards scaling the company team, expanding its presence in the United States market, and developing new asset class products. Alex Finkelstein of Spark Capital is joining the company board as part of the transaction.
The raise follows a period of significant growth for the firm, which has doubled its client base, tripled its headcount, and quadrupled its annual recurring revenue since 2021. The company has also established a new office in New York City to support its American expansion.
From the founder
"We didn’t set out to fundraise, but when we spoke with Alex and the team at Spark, they were incredibly enthusiastic about the business and their culture and operating experience is a great fit for us. So we decided to raise opportunistically and accelerate our US GTM timing"

Steven Hunter
Co-founder at 9fin
Investor perspective
"Steven, Hussam and the 9fin team are updating an industry that desperately needs it. They’ve made so much progress out of their London office, we’re excited to see them take on the US and continue growing with new customers."
